Chef Marilyn's Soul Food Express

The 1st stop on our Crenshaw food journey was Chef Marilyn's Soul Food Express. It isn't the 1st restaurant on Crenshaw but the 1st open so late. We went on April 2 after 9 pm. We almost missed it as it was hidden next to a liquor store. Luckily we saw the mural on the wall in the liquor store parking lot.

I had actually eaten Chef Marilyn's food before as she catered some events for our library in the past. We had mashed potatoes & gravy, greens, fried chicken, cornbread muffins & an Orange Crush. We wanted macaroni and cheese too but they were all out. The food was sensational and the price was right, around $10 to stuff two people.
